O. KEENE CLAY, OD, FCOVD: Dr. Clay graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1972. Dr. Clay established Mt. Hood Vision Center at the current location on Stark Street in July of 1977 after practicing three years in the Navy and two years in private practice in Libertyville, Illinois. In 1986, Dr. Clay earned fellowship status in the College of Optometry in Vision Development (FCOVD).
Dr. Clay is a member of the American Optometric Association, Oregon Optometric Physicians Association, Portland Metropolitan Optometric Society, and the College Of Optometrists in Vision Development. Dr. Clay is married and has four grown sons and three grandchildren. He spends his leisure time gardening, and maintains an active interest in geology, rock hounding and lapidary.
Dr. Clay is a member of the board of the Mt. Hood Repretory Theater Company in Gresham.
MARK A. GEORGE, OD: Dr. George was raised in South East Portland and attended David Douglas High School. He completed his undergraduate program at Portland State University. He graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1989, with distinction. After graduation Dr George was in private practice in NE Portland from 1989 until 1998. In 1998 he joined Eye Health NW and practiced in East Portland until 2003 when he joined Mt. Hood Vision Center. Dr. George became a full partner with Dr. Clay in January 2007.
Dr. George is a Member of the American Optometric Association, and the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association. Dr. George was honored as the Young Optometrist of the Year by the Oregon Optometric Association in 1998. Dr. George is married and has two children. He enjoys bicycling, photography, and the beautiful scenery that we are fortunate to have in the Northwest.
